It is important to brush gently and

mouth produce acids that can attack your tooth enamel. The acid in foods and

inflamed. Gum disease is generally painless but it can damage the bone
supporting the teeth. The gums start to pull away from the teeth and the gaps
become infected. The plaque can accumulate between the gums and the teeth and

to brush your teeth even if gums are bleeding. If the bleeding does not go away
within a few days call your dentist for advice. Plaque can harden into tartar

become loose and fall out.
